CENTAUREA UNIFLORA spp. NERVOSA:   This beautiful perennial cornflower has deep purple feathery flowers in late June and continuing on till frost - dead-heading will prolong the flowering time. Full sun and well-drained soils suit this species best, although it will tolerate some morning shade. Seeds can be sown direct in late fall or early in May. Can be started inside and transplanted out later. Blooms will appear in the second year. Cover the seeds with 1 cm of soil. Best to plant 5-10 seeds in a clump to ensure a healthy clump of plants.  60 seeds.    P467
