ROCKY MOUNTAIN PENSTEMON:   Blue flowers adorn a single stem. Leaves are opposite each other on the stem and have a waxy surface. Native to the western Plains of the U.S. Does best in sandy, well drained soils in a sunny location. Will tolerate some shade. Stands should be replaced every 4-5 years for best results. May reseed themselves. Grows to 60 cm high. Best to start this one indoors as the seedling are tiny and slow growing. Cover the seeds with .5 cm of soil and keep warm. Transplant out at 20 cm apart and plant in large groups.   75 seeds.    P613
