HIMALAYAN BLOODFLOWER: One of our favourite perennials, this unusual Potentilla species has leaves resembling strawberry plants that are edged with silver.  Blood red flowers appear in June on multi-branched plants and continue on through most of the summer.  Plants grow 40 – 70 cm tall and prefer a sunny site with well-drained soils.  Seeds can be sown direct in early spring or started off inside and transplanted later.  A 2-3 week period of moist stratification seems to aid the germination process.   60 seeds.    P627
