FILIPENDULA VULGARIS: Commonly called Dropwort, the roots of this plant have been used for centuries for varying types of respiratory problems. Reaching heights of 80 cm or more, the plants produce clusters of sweet smelling white flowers in mid to late June. The plants prefer average soil on the drier side in full sun. Seeds should be started in cell trays in mid April - they are slow to germinate and slow to develop, but worth the wait. Transplant out when seedlings reach adequate size. Cover the seeds with .5 cm of soil and keep evenly moist and warm until germination occurs. 100 seeds. P529
