CAMPANULA PUNCTATA:
Also called Dotted Bellflower, this clumping species produces large pale
to dark purple down-turned flowers in June and July. Plants grow 40-70 cm tall and prefer afternoon sun or a
filtered light situation with good soils. Seeds
are tiny and should be started indoors in containers in the spring.
Cover the seeds with just a light dusting of soil and keep moist.
Unlike some Campanula species, I do not find this one to be aggressive by
self-seeding.
