PENSTEMON ATTENUATUS: Although most of the Penstemons I grow are short, this species can reach heights of 100 cm or more. Pale yellow to bluish purple flowers appear on tall spikes. A summer bloomer, this species prefers full sun and rather dry soils. Plants look best when grouped together for a mass display. Seeds can be fall seeded in October, spring planted in May either direct or started in cell trays to be transplanted later. Cover the seeds with .5 cm of soil.  A rather unusual and interesting addition to any sun garden.   150 seeds.    P609
