
SIDEOATS GRAMA:
Warm season grass native to the southern prairies. Not common in Alberta. Fine-leaved, sod-forming grass characterized by oat-like seeds that hang down one side of the stem. Has the most colourful flower of any grass with vivid yellow, red and green. Grows to 70 cm tall and is an interesting ornamental for gardens and for drying. Sow direct in early spring or late fall. Tolerates a wide range of soils, but must have good drainage and plenty of water when being established. Will tolerate drought-like conditions when mature. 200 seeds. G1210
