GREEK OREGANO:  True Oregano from the mountains of Greece. Strong flavour used in tomato sauces, pizza, breads and many Spanish, Italian and Mexican dishes. Also great in soups, stews and casseroles. Balances well when used with sweet basil. Although somewhat slower to get established than most indoor herbs, it is well worth the wait. In its native Greece, Oregano grows on steep slopes in rather poor soil. Mulch well for the winter as this plant is marginally hardy here in Edmonton. Adult plants can be brought indoors in September for fresh herbs in the fall and hopefully throughout the winter. Cover seed with a light dusting of soil.   60 seeds.     H1124
