SHOO-FLY PLANT: Reputed to
deter white flies, this interesting robust plant produces a profusion of soft
blue bell-shaped flowers. Once the flowers are finished, the seed balls are
quickly enclosed in a papery husk that turns a rust colour and can be dried for
crafts. To 90 cm tall. Can be started indoors in April or direct seeded in May or
late fall. Full sun and average
soil suites them best. Will self
-seed.
