SCENTED EVENING STOCKS:   These fine border plants grow to 70 cm  high with spikes of small, four-petal lilac-coloured flowers that open only in the evening.  At night they emit a wonderful fragrance.  They are best planted with other showier flowers. Sow outside as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring or late fall.  Can be started indoors in April for earlier blooms.  Cover the seeds with just a light dusting of soil as they need light to germinate. They prefer fairly rich soil and do best in cool temperatures with full to partial sun.   Plant them where you can enjoy the evening scent.  100 seeds.    A150
