CLARKIA RUBICUNDA:   Another beautiful and interesting plant that is seldom seen in the horticultural trade. Native to California, the flowers resemble Godetia (Clarkia amoena) except they are arranged on a tall flower stalk reaching heights of 90 cm or more. Excellent cut flower and a great centrepiece for the flower garden when planted in groups or rows. Seeds should be started indoors in cell trays in mid April and transplanted after the last frost. Cover the seeds only slightly as they need light to germinate. Space plants up to 30 cm apart. Full sun or some morning shade is fine in average, well drained soil. Flowers are cherry red to light pink with a dark base.    40 seeds.    A068
