KASHMIRI POPPY:   These beautiful poppies come from northern India and Pakistan- plants grow to 120 cm tall or more and have large purple, lavender, white and crossed colour flowers. Seeds are best planted in early spring when the soil is still cold - around the first of May, or try a fall planting. Plants grow fast in the right conditions (moist, rich soils then dry warm conditions when flowering). Full sun is best. Scatter seeds on the soil surface and rake in very lightly - need light to germinate. Seed are used in baking and for eating. Huge seed pods are excellent for drying and using in winter crafts. Leave a few pods to reseed each fall.   150 seeds.    A175
