BLAZING STAR: :  A common wildflower in many parts of the Western United States, this species flowers quickly from seed and continues on well into September.  The deeply divided leaves make this plant highly ornamental as well as the 6cm bright yellow flowers have a very pleasant scent.  They open in the evening and last well into the following day.  Difficult to transplant, they are best sown outside in late fall or early April.  Blazing Stars prefer full sun and well-drained soils.  Plants grow to about 45 cm tall.  Great for attracting bees. 60 seeds.   A152
